Meso Run opts to go virtual for 2020 to keep the spirit alive!
In light of COVID-19, Mother's Day Meso Run has decided to postpone the 2020 in-person Mother's Day Weekend Meso Run/Walk to 2021. But we didn't want to miss out on the spirit of the event this year. So we invite you to join us this Saturday, May 9, 2020 for an informal, free, and virtual 5k run/walk to support mesothelioma research. Simply run or walk a 5k on your own, as long as it is safe to do so and you are healthy. And if you have a mesothelioma t-shirt, help us spread awareness by wearing your shirt for your run/walk. Then take a photo, and share it with us on social media (@MothersDayMesoRun) with the hashtag #VirtualMesoRun2020. "See" you then!
Another Successful Meso Run/Walk
On May 11, 2019, nearly 130 runners and walkers took to the hills of Griffith Park to race for a cure for mesothelioma. We all had an inspiring and uplifting morning to kick off Mother's Day weekend, and we raised over $12,000 for mesothelioma research. Learn more about our 2019 race here. We hope you'll join us again on May 9, 2020, for the 3rd annual Meso Run/Walk.
Thanks for the interview, Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization!
Our founder, Julia Forgie, was recently interviewed by Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization's Linda Reinstein. A critical part of fighting mesothelioma is eliminating its cause: exposure to asbestos. We're grateful to ADAO for its advocacy to educate and ban asbestos use. Read more from our ADAO interview.

Want to keep supporting mesothelioma research and treatments?
We at the Mother's Day Meso Run are dedicated to fighting mesothelioma in all of its forms. That's why the Mother's Day Weekend Meso Run 2018 raised funds to benefit the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation. We encourage you to check out the Meso Foundation's website to learn about all of its fantastic work to eliminate this terrible disease.

The Pacific Mesothelioma Center here in LA also conducts critical research and treats patients with pleural mesothelioma. If you're interested in further supporting pleural mesothelioma research this fall, we encourage you to check out the Pacific Mesothelioma Center's 5K Walk/Hike for Mesothelioma in October each year. We hope to reconnect with you there!
